Setting powder is a cosmetic product used to set makeup and mattify the skin, giving it a velvety, smooth appearance. It comes in two main formulations: compact (solid) powder and loose powder. Both are used to set foundation, reduce shine, minimize pores, and make makeup last longer.
How to use:
- After applying foundation and concealer, make sure your skin is well hydrated. You can apply a primer to help your makeup last longer, especially if you have oily or combination skin.
- Pick up a small amount of powder with a large, fluffy brush (for light coverage) or a sponge (for more intense coverage).
- If you use loose powder, gently tap the brush to remove excess product, to avoid a powdery effect.
- Dab or brush gently over your face, focusing especially on the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), which tends to get shiny.
- To avoid visible powder patches, blend the product well using circular motions. Try to distribute it evenly over your entire face for a natural look.
- If necessary, you can touch up the powder throughout the day, especially in areas that tend to get shiny.
- At the end of the day, remove makeup, including powder, with a gentle cleanser or makeup remover.
