Description
A 2-in-1 highlighter and contourer combines two functions in one: on one hand, it offers the luminous effect typical of a highlighter, while on the other it has a darker shade, ideal for contouring, sculpting, and defining the face. These products are perfect for a quick and complete makeup look, as they allow you to add both brightness and depth with a single product.
How to use:
  • Start with a makeup base, such as foundation or BB cream, to even out your skin tone. You can also apply concealer if necessary.
  • Use the contouring side of the product (usually a darker shade). Apply the product to the areas where you want to sculpt your face, such as under the cheekbones, along the sides of the nose, along the jawline, and on the sides of the forehead.
  • Use an angled brush or sponge to blend the contour and create a natural shadow effect.
  • Use the highlighter side (a lighter, brighter shade) and apply it to the high points of your face: your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, your brow bone, your Cupid's bow (above your upper lip), and the center of your forehead or chin for a 360° glow.
  • You can also apply it lightly over contouring for a more blended, three-dimensional effect.
  • It's essential to blend both products together to avoid harsh lines. The final effect should be natural and harmonious.
  • Complete the look with a little blush for a pop of color on your cheeks and a little mascara to emphasize your eyes.
Suggestions:
  • If the product has a matte shade for contouring, make sure the texture is easy to blend, so as to avoid a too marked look.
  • If you want a brighter effect, you can also apply the highlighter to your eyes for a complete "glowy" effect.
The difference between bronzer, powder, and contouring lies mainly in the effect each product has on the face and how they are used.
Differences:
  • Bronzer is used for a tanned, warm, and luminous effect. It has warm, golden tones.
  • Bronzer refers to a product that darkens and warms the face, similar to bronzer but sometimes less specific in its effect.
  • Contouring is about defining and creating shadows. It's a matte product, used to sculpt the face, not to add brightness.
